As one of the major contractors in Northern Ireland, O'Hare & McGovern have taken a leading role in Public Private Partnerships. As Equity and sub-ordinated debt provider and contractor to Belfast Educational Services Limited, O'Hare & McGovern are delivering a much needed education facility to DENI and the CCMS in the form of a 1000 pupil school in Belfast namely St. Genevieve’s High School. Construction has been completed and service delivery was achieved late February 2002.
Other education PPP's that we currently have in hand are:
Tyrone Colleges - £35.0m
- East Tyrone College – Approximately 1,100 Full Time Students
1st & 2nd Phase’s competed on time and overall completion due in Summer 2006
- Omagh College – Approximately 1,100 Full Time Students
College handed over on programme in October 2005.
Holy Cross College, Strabane - £25.0m
Having been appointed as preferred bidder, the College required additional space which has held up Financial Close. This will now close in February 2006 and the College will be available for Christmas 2007.
O’Hare & McGovern are also currently bidding for:
- East Down & Lisburn – Approx. 1,300 pupils excluding part-time & night classes
- Derry Schools – St. Mary’s & St. Cecilia’s – approx 850 students in each
- Down & Connor Schools
- Belfast Schools
